Welcome to Notes From The Bookstore! My name is Susanne Blumer. I'm an author, booklover and owner of two independent bookstores nestled in the magical mountains of North Carolina: Sassafras on Sutton in Black Mountain and Sassafras on Main in Waynesville. You can take a virtual tour of each store on the website. One floor is a bookstore and the other is a full toy store. We have a great time!
I'm so excited to start this new venture. I absolutely love talking about books, reading books, selling books... all things books! I can't wait to share some of my favorite books with you and some of my favorite authors.
We'll also be taking a peek behind the shelves of my two bookstores. If you've ever wondered what working in or owning a bookstore is like, I'll give you a glimpse into that part of my world. Spoiler alert: it's pretty amazing!
Look for episodes of the podcast to release each week on Tuesday. All of our new book releases come out on Tuesday, so I thought I keep that going. And I have no idea why Tuesday. I'll find out and let you know.
